جائتني رسالة من احد الطلاب السعوديين المبتعثين في امريكا , رسالته كانت رد على رسالة بعثت بها اليه احد الامريكيات تستغرب قصة الحكم على فتاة القطيف

حاول في رسالته ان يدافع عن الحكم  لانه كان يشعر انه يدافع عن صورته وصورة ابناء وطنه في امريكا, متى تردك بعض الجهات لدينا انها لم تعد في مناطق معزولة عن العالم , بل بلدنا اصبح في نقطة الضوء و يؤثر اي قرار على صورته في الخارج

هذا على افتراض ان شروط العدالة قد توفرت في الحكم

 You must check into the article on the news regarding the lady that was
 raped in SA and let me know the details.  Evidently, she was beaten by the
 courts afterwards.  Please give me some insight as to what happened.  It
 really bothers me.

 Hi Mary Ann,
 I’m sorry for this late response I wasn’t home for a couple of days.
 However, It’s so nice of you to look for the truth and not jus take
 what the media says. This case is just another proof for an old
proverb in Arabic and in English too which says ” believe not all that
 you see nor half what you hear”.
 Anyway, I’m _ as many Saudis_ very upset about the way the media
 represented the case. I think it loomed to be a chance to attack Saudi
 Arabia. Why am I saying this? Because what has been represented in the
 media is just falsehood. I’m not here to defend my country in order to
 cover up the story. But I really need you to understand the whole
 picture before giving any judgment.  THE STORY: (AS TO WHAT HAPPENED)
 This is what happened according to the investigation records with the
 woman and the seven guys.
 1-      This girl is married. She confessed – according to police records-
 that she has made an illegal relation with the person who was with her
 when this incident happened. All this was going on while her husband
 has no idea that she is cheating him. (This action is considered as a
 sin in all religions upon the earth). I think you agree with me on
 this.
 2-       At the night of the incident she called this guy whose name
 Hussein and asked him for a date in Algateef mall. Then she got in his
 car and both went to the beach. She said at the first investigation
 she went to retrieve an old picture of her. But further investigation
 lead to the fact that is not the case. She has been meeting Hussein
 for several times before she got married and after that. She committed
 fornication. The law in Saudi Arabia castigates who does fornication
 but under  ” very specific circumstances” .
 3-      At the beach while she was in the car those – bad – guys came and
 opened the car . She was not wearing her regular cloths. ( I’m not
 saying here she facilitated what happened to her but telling the exact
 fact)
 4-      Then , these guys raped her. ( what they did is just outrage on the
 girl no matter what she was doing and what she was wearing).
 5-      The girl and the guy who was with her did not go to any police
 station to report what happened to them. Instate they neglect their
 case as nothing happened.
 6-      After 3 months an email was sent to her husband telling him that
 his wife is cheating him. He , then, asked her about the email she
 told him about a gang-raped incident. He went to the police on
 06/13/2006
 7-      After investigation the case was token to the court. And on
 11/01/2006 the court made an initial verdict. The victim and her
 husband accepted it, even though the court told them she is punished
 by 90 slashes as a result of committing an illegal thing according to
 the law.
 What happened next is not understandable. As you see it’s quite long
 time since the verdict was made. Who took this case to the media is
 looking for nothing accept something for him. Believe me on this.
However, the case still in the court and there is no final decision yet.
 This is what happened. Please if you have anything in your mind email

 Finally , we are not angels  we are human . In my opinion, Yes the
 court shouldn’t punish the victim, but we need to understand the
 circumstances . This is a law thing. Best regards,
